Bonpay has a legal right to provide financial services only to citizens of a strict number of countries. To verify clients’ citizenship we need to verify a place of residence. A proof of address is an important anti-fraud measure that complies with HMRC and FCA regulations and ensures the safety of your funds.
Documents used for address verification should be issued within last 3 months (90 days) and contain the following information:
- Date of issuance
- Full name
- Full address
Documents accepted for address verification:
- Bank Statement / Credit Card Statement in PDF or received via post
- Utility bill: Gas Bill / Electricity Bill / Landline Telephone Bill / Water Bill
- Government-issued certificate of residency
- Residency permit (along with a travel passport)
Document for address verification cannot be the same document that was used for confirming your identity.
Please note: Driver’s licenses or ID cards will not be accepted as a proof of residential address. For documents issued in non-latin writing script, a notarized English translation is required.
